Outstanding AMEB Results for Malvern Primary School Musicians

Malvern Primary School is thrilled to celebrate the recent achievements of several talented students who participated in the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) practical music exams. These exams are a true testament to each student’s dedication, requiring months of preparation including the mastery of 3–5 repertoire pieces, scales and technical work, as well as aural (listening and singing) skills and sight reading — the challenging task of playing music never seen before.

We are incredibly proud to share the fantastic results achieved by our students:

  • Lucas A (5CS) – AMEB Grade 3 TrumpetA+ (High Distinction)
  • Thomas A (4VM) – AMEB Grade 2 ViolinA+ (High Distinction)
  • Thomas A (4VM) – AMEB Preliminary Grade ViolaA (Honours)
  • Leo G (6JW) – AMEB Grade 1 CelloA (Honours)
  • Hugo P (4AQ) – AMEB Preliminary Grade ViolinA (Honours)
  • Isaac W (4VM) – AMEB Grade 1 ViolinA+ (High Distinction)

These results reflect the hard work, perseverance and passion each student has shown in their musical studies. Congratulations to all students on these remarkable accomplishments!

We also extend our best wishes to Thomas A  (4VM) who will be sitting his AMEB Grade 3 Trombone exam in June. Good luck, Thomas — we’re all cheering you on!

Keep up the great work, musicians! 🎶
