Sacrament of Eucharist

This Sunday, on the 3rd of May, Arianne, Ashton, Eva, Sam, Ila, Chase, Kai Ethan, Audrey, Izzy, Kiara, Axel, Nash and Akira from Year Four will be making their Sacrament of First Eucharist.

We keep these children in our thoughts and prayers as they prepare for this special milestone in their faith journey. The Sacrament of Eucharist will take place at the St Martin de Porres Parish Mass and will be a wonderful celebration for our school and parish community.

The Eucharist is one of the most important Sacraments in the Catholic Church and is often described as the source and summit of Christian life. Through the Eucharist, students receive Holy Communion for the first time, strengthening their relationship with Jesus and becoming more deeply connected to the Church community.

This is a significant step in their sacramental journey, following Baptism and Reconciliation, and is a moment of great joy for the students and their families.

We thank the teachers, the students, and their families for their support and preparation leading up to this special occasion.

Mother's Day

Mother’s Day is a special time when we pause to honour the incredible mothers and special women in our lives, celebrating their love, strength, and the profound impact they have on our families, our school, and our wider community. It is a time to give thanks for the gift of motherhood and for the nurturing spirit that helps shape and guide us each day.

As we approach Mother’s Day, we keep all mothers, grandmothers, and those special women who fill mothering roles in our thoughts and prayers. We also remember our Mother in Heaven, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and ask for her loving guidance and intercession, just as Jesus gave her to us from the cross.

We are delighted to invite you to our school’s Mother’s Day Prayer Celebration next Friday, 8th May, at 9am in the Church. Students from 2E have thoughtfully planned and will lead this special celebration. They have carefully chosen, and even written, the prayers and songs for this liturgy, making it a truly meaningful occasion.

Please join us as we come together in prayer and gratitude to celebrate all the wonderful mothers and mother figures in our lives. We look forward to sharing this heartfelt celebration with you.
