This term students in Year 4 continued with Bike Ed and have ventured out onto the road with the supervision of Mr Riley, Ms Fisher and a wonderful parent volunteer.

Year 2 students have been exploring strong characters from their favourite texts and identifying their personality traits.  They will be drawing on these observations as they begin developing characters for their own stories later this term.

In the last week of Term 2 students across the school enjoyed an afternoon of activities run by Kaboom Kids Sports.

Year 1 and 2 students have just finished a Science unit on Mini-Beasts. They learnt the difference between vertebrates and invertebrates and used magnifying glasses to observe and identify external features of animals. They also created a habitat which demonstrated their understanding that animals live in places which meet their basic needs.

Today our Foundation, Year 1 and 2 students celebrated their published writing. The second half of this term’s writing focus was ‘to inform’. 

The Year 3's made a dish of their choice for homework. Then, in class they wrote a recipe with descriptive adverbs and adverbial phrases. They published their delicious recipes using Google Docs. 

2C recreated the finished mural from the story book The Concrete Garden.  They each worked on a section with a partner and did an amazing job.
