PRESIDENTS MESSAGE
Dear Holy Spirit Community School,
We had a big week last week with our 2nd Food Day and our annual Trivia Night.
Our 2nd food day was a HUGE hit with the kids. We had around 336 orders placed. We loved supporting local business “North Ringwood Charcoal Chicken”. We would love it if you could give them a visit if you ever want a night off cooking dinner. They are fantastic! They cooked around 1500 nuggets, 94 dim sims and 78 potato cakes (wow!!). We had amazing feedback from the students that they loved having a hot lunch, and the serves was so generous. We are so happy that the students love our food days. All the money raised from this food day will go straight towards the new Grade 5 and 6 Playground. We look forward to running another two P & F foods in Term 3 so watch this space!!
We also held our annual Trivia Night last Saturday night. It was such a fantastic and fun night for all our parents and friends. It was such a successful night, and we loved seeing everyone happy and having fun. We are still finalising the numbers but we will get back to you with a total amount raised from Trivia Night next term so stay tuned!!
I would love to thank the Trivia Committee who put months of hard work, organisation, preparation and dedication into making this event such a success.

Thank you also for giving up your time to set up the hall on Saturday afternoon. Nights like this wouldn’t happen without a strong committee of volunteers organising it so I really appreciate it. Thank you to Andrew Meissner for running the try booking for us and doing the Live Auction on the night. We would like to also thank Duncan for also helping with the Live Auction. Thank you also to the parents who stayed back and helped us pack up the hall at the end of the night.
We had a Silent Auction, Live Auction, Raffle Draw and Door Prizes this year. The Quiz team that came out were fantastic again and very engaging and fun for the audience. I think all the parents loved all the games in between and trivia questions. There was some nice friendly competition going on between some of the tables!!
We couldn’t have done without our 7 sponsors which I have listed below. We would love it if you could support these amazing businesses who support our school so much. We also want to give thanks to all the businesses that gave us generous donations to give out as prizes.
We look forward to planning another amazing Trivia Night for you all in 2027!! We might even add another fun parent social night on the calendar for 2027! Watch this space!!
We would love everyone to save the date for our up and coming 50th Birthday Celebration. We would love to see as many families as we can to help celebrate this amazing milestone birthday. Please save the date. Saturday 8th of August. We welcome you to come to The Coach (only a 7 minute drive from the school!) and join us in a fun night of celebrations. Grab your friends, dust off your dancing shoes and help us celebrate 50 amazing years of community, friendship and social spirit. We will have a DJ, food platters and birthday cake. The P & F and school can’t wait to celebrate with you all!! Details and tickets sales links are listed below. It should be a fantastic and fun night for all!!
At the end of 2026 our Treasurer Andrew and Vice President Lincoln are stepping down. This means that come 2027 we will need a new Treasurer and Vice President to join our team. These two roles are highly important and valued in the successful running of the P and F Association and help make up the Executive Committee. We need these two positions filled by the end of the year so, in the next few weeks, I’ll provide more information about what is involved in taking on these two positions. Watch this space.
Come and speak to Georgette if you are interested in these very important roles!!
We are also on the lookout for General Members to join us. You can even come to one of our monthly meetings and see all the work we do behind the scenes and how we run the P and F Association. We always welcome new faces and new ideas. If you have a passion and interest to help our school community and be involved in the fundraising/social side of the school, I would love to hear from you!!

We are still seeking winter uniform donations. If you have any winter items you would like to donate please drop them off in the bins located outside the P & F room. We also sell our Holy Spirit winter beanies at the uniform shop for $19.45 each.
