FUNraiser

It was great seeing our students and staff dressed in their Weekend Wear (31 July) for our recent FUNraiser.  This event was purely for enjoyment and wellbeing because making the primary school experience special is important to us.

Active School Travel

It was wonderful to see many children and their families walking or riding to school for Active School Travel (7 August).

Thanks to very strong community and staff support, we are able to offer a lovely spread for breakfast, prizes for participating students and free raffles for parents, carers and children.

Year 4 Bike Safety

Students in Year 4 enjoyed their bike safety excursion, where they learnt about the importance of bike care, maintenance, safe riding and road rules for cyclists.

Book Week / Book Character Costume Day

We are celebrating Book Week this week and it has been a lot of fun!  Families excelled this year with wonderful costumes for their children on book character dress up day and Team Tally delighted our students by joining in the fun.

Stop Drop and Read and the Book Fair have been popular and a visit from author, Anna Durham, was a wonderful learning experience.

Thank you to our P&C for running our Book Fair and all the fabulous volunteers who helped!

Father’s Day Stall

One of the many ways that our P&C supports our school and families is by running our annual Father’s Day stall. Vouchers are now on sale via Qkr until Friday 28 August (unless sold out prior).  Due to the need to organise gifts and vouchers, late purchases of vouchers will not be possible.  The stall will be held 2 and 3 September and vouchers will be delivered to classrooms prior to the stall visits.

If families are experiencing financial difficulty, they are welcome to call Donna in our office by 26 August to let us know, so that we can see how we may be able to assist in relation to Father’s Day.

Thank you to our wonderful P&C volunteers for their hard work making this opportunity possible for our students! More helpers are needed so please contact our P&C if you can lend a hand.

Collaborative Planning

In Week 9, teaching teams will be provided additional time off class, to work with our Head of Curriculum and Deputy Principal Teaching, Learning and Curriculum to coordinate the educational programs and assessment for next term. This ensures that we have a high level of consistency and quality planning across all year levels.  The educational program continues for our students on the collaborative planning days and learning is facilitated by our specialist and support teachers.

Winter Uniform

Please ensure that your child continues to wear the correct uniform even in cold weather and that jumpers and hats are named in case they are misplaced.  Our uniform is plain black shoes (not boots) and there must not be any coloured laces or trim.  Wearing correct school uniform is conducive to a sense of belonging and children rely on their parents and carers to help them with this.  If you are experiencing financial difficulty maintaining correct uniform, please contact us to discuss how we may be able to assist.
