Term 3 Week 8

Lots happening at the end of term! 🎉

We have many exciting events planned over the final two weeks of the term! A big thank you to everyone who has already volunteered to help — we really appreciate your time and support.

If you haven’t had a chance to volunteer yet, we would love to see some new faces! Even if you can only spare a little time, every extra pair of hands makes a big difference and helps us run these special events for the children.

Hot Food 🍔

A big thank you to all the parents who volunteered for our special Burger Lunch Day! A very special thank you to Andy for cooking the yummy burgers, and to our coordinator Rosemary, together with our wonderful parent helpers Clare, Linda, Maria, Simone, Kathryn and Delia.

Father’s Day 💙

Father’s Day at St. Mary’s is always an exciting event for our school community. We began the day by inviting dads and other special men in our children’s lives to join us for a special Father’s Day morning before school.

Throughout the school day, we held a  Father’s Day Stall run by the P&F. Children had the opportunity to visit the stall with their siblings and choose a special gift for their dad or another special person in their life.

We’d also like to thank Clare and Kathryn for helping with the preparation beforehand.

Rossmoyne Rummage- Sunday 18 October 2026

St. Mary’s will be participating in the Rossmoyne Rummage for the third time this year! 

Thank you to those who have sent in donations for the Toys and Books Stall, we are still seeking donations; please send them into the office clearly marked Rossmoyne Rummage.  

Below is a list of items we are currently seeking:

Books (children’s and adults)

Toys in excellent working condition

LEGO (complete sets preferred)

Jigsaw puzzles (new/unopened or complete sets only)

Board games (new/unopened or complete sets only)

Dolls

Cars and trucks

Building blocks

❗ Please Note - To support our volunteers and ensure the success of the stall, we kindly ask that all donated items are:

Clean and in high-quality condition

Complete (no missing pieces)

Ready for resale

Being mindful of quality greatly assists our team with sorting, displaying, and packing down unsold items.

🚫 Soft toys will not be accepted

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Rossmoyne Rummage – Volunteers Needed! 🛍️

The Rossmoyne Rummage group, led by Emily, will be sorting through donations for our stall on the following dates:

📅 Tuesday 9 September📅 Tuesday 16 September📅 Thursday 18 September

We’ll meet after morning drop-off and would love some extra helping hands!

If you can make any of these times, please reach out to us via email or through your class reps.

Upcoming Events:

R U OK? Day - 9 September

The P&F will be providing students with cookie decorating supplies as part of the school’s activities. Thank you Kathryn for liaising with school staff for this event.

Footy Day – Thursday 10 September The P&F will be running a special hot food day for students to enjoy as part of the school’s Footy Day celebrations. 🏉🌭

Colour Run – Wednesday, 17 September

 🌈🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️The students have been waiting a long time for our very first colour run! Please see the flyer below for details. 

We are in need of volunteers, so please reach out if you are able to help out at this event.
