Time Flies When We Are Having Fun!

As we reach the end of Term 3, it is hard to believe just how quickly another school year is passing. Mathematics gives us a wonderful way to measure time... Can you believe we have engaged in over 31 weeks of learning, approximately 155 school days and more than 1,000 hours spent together.  And with every number is a story: a new skill mastered, a challenge overcome, a friendship formed, a kind word shared, a new experience embraced and a moment where a student has discovered something about themselves.

For our Year 6 students, the numbers now carry an even greater meaning. With just 11 weeks, and approximately 50 school days, until their graduation, their primary school journey is entering its final chapter. While we can count the days, we cannot measure the impact of the experiences and legacy our students have shared during their time at Harvest Home.

Planning for 2027

As we look ahead to 2027, lots of organisation is already happening behind the scenes. 

To support this planning, please let us know if your child will not be returning to Harvest Home in 2027. Knowing our enrolment numbers early helps us make informed decisions about staffing, learning spaces and resources. If your child is leaving us, please contact our friendly office team on 8468 9000 or fill out the "Are You Leaving" form found below or on Compass.

Prep 2027

We are also finalising our 2027 Prep enrolments. If you are a current Harvest Home family with a younger child starting school next year, please submit your enrolment form as soon as possible.

Staffing Update

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Harman, our STEM teacher, for her contribution to Harvest Home Primary School. Harman has been a valued member of our team, supporting our students to explore, question, create and develop their STEM thinking. We thank Harman for her work with our students and wish her all the very best in the next chapter of her career in Education.  As we prepare for Term 4, we are currently finalising our STEM staffing arrangements and will provide further information to families once these arrangements are confirmed.

We are also delighted to welcome Chloe Kwasny and Chloe Best, who have recently joined our Education Support team. We welcome both staff members into our Harvest Home community and know they will be wonderful additions to our team.

Finally, we wish Sophie Chilton all the very best as she takes leave during Term 4. We hope Sophie enjoys this time and look forward to welcoming her back next year.

Friendly Reminders: 

As we head into Term 4, a few reminders to help us finish the year positively.

• Sun Smart: Term 4 is a Sun Smart Term, so all students must wear a school hat when outside.
• School Times: Our school day begins at 8:50am and finishes at 3:10pm. Please help your child start the day ready to learn by arriving on time.
• Every Day Attendance Matters: Regular attendance is important for learning, friendships and connection. If your child is absent, please remember to record their absence on Compass.
• Family Holidays: If your family is planning an extended holiday during Term 4 or the beginning of the school year, please let the school know in advance so we can support appropriate planning and communication around your child's learning.
• Respectful Communication: We encourage everyone to continue upholding our Harvest Home values by engaging respectfully, communicating positively and treating one another with kindness and respect. 

Term 4 - We Can't Wait!

As we look towards our final term, our focus remains where it has always been;with our students at the centre. We will continue to learn, grow, support one another and celebrate the small moments that make our school such a special place. There is still so much to achieve, experience and celebrate in the final 11 weeks of 2026. 

As we enter Term 4... let’s make every day count.
