PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Dear Holy Spirit Community School,
I hope you are all well and are enjoying the lovely Spring weather. Over the next few weeks, I would like to turn our attention to the Fete. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year for our school and parish. We would love the whole communities support with this big event. It is a huge undertaking, and we require everyone’s help and support to make it a big success! We need lots of volunteers to help set up the fete, work on fete day and help pack down the fete. Many hands make light work, so we are calling on the community to please put their name down and volunteer. We require lots of volunteers to work at all the amazing stalls on Fete Day. We want to make this year’s fete our biggest Fete yet!!
Could You Be Our Next P&F Vice President, Secretary or Food Day Coordinator??
Our amazing Vice President, Secretary and Food Day Coordinator are finishing up at the end of the year, and we're looking for enthusiastic parents to join our wonderful P&F Committee. These roles are very important and without them being filled we won’t be able to run our P & F in 2027!
Vice President – Support the President, work alongside a fantastic committee, and help bring events and initiatives to life.
Secretary
-Attend all meetings and record proceedings of items discussed.
- Prepare and distribute an agenda one week prior to each committee meetings.
- Type and distribute minutes, via email, to all committee members within the week during which the monthly meeting takes place.
Food Day Coordinator- Organise/coordinate each Food Day (one- two per term) – including the printing and distribution
of flyers and reminder notices; collating orders; ordering food and drinks; ensuring there are
sufficient helpers on the day and co-ordinating the day. This role could be shared between two people!
These are rewarding volunteer roles that make a real difference to our school community. No previous committee experience is required, just a willingness and eagerness to get involved!
If you'd like to learn more or are interested in either position, please speak to Georgette or any of our current P&F committee members. We'd love to have you on the team!
We are also on the lookout for General Members to join us. You can even come to one of our monthly meetings and see all the work we do behind the scenes, and how we run the P and F Association. We always welcome new faces and new ideas. If you have a passion and interest to help our school community and be involved in the fundraising/social side of the school, I would love to hear from you!

DAD'S NIGHT THANKS
Thank you to all our amazing Dads for coming out to the Croydon Hotel to celebrate Dads Night. We hope you all had a fantastic time connecting with each other!
CRAZY CAMEL FUNDRAISER IS COMING IN TERM 4!!
We would love our community to support our Term 4 fundraiser which is the ever so popular Crazy Camel Fundraiser. We are bringing it back for another year!! All money raised from Crazy Camel will go directly towards the new Playground!!
- Crazy Camel Fundraising is an Australian-based, family run business offering a wide range of art and photo based fundraising products.
- We turn your children’s artwork and photos into keepsakes families will love with simple yet meaningful and rewarding fundraisers.
The students will all get their blank templates soon and draw their pictures on them. They will then be collected by the P and F Association. The P and F will then send them back to Crazy Camel. Parents will then get a chance to purchase their children’s artwork on a variety of different products. Think calendars, greeting cards, Diaries, Notebooks, Sketchbooks, pillow cases, tea towels and tote bags.
These personalised products with your children’s artwork on them will make amazing Christmas presents for your loved ones. More information to come soon!! Watch this space!!

I’m Hannah, the Stalls & Volunteers Manager for the 2026 Fete.
This year, we’re doing things a little differently when signing up as a Fete Day Helper.
📝 HOW THE SIGN-UP WORKS
We are using a Google Form instead of the Sign Up Zone website used last year.
You only need to complete the form once.
I receive all the information you provide, including your preferred times, hours, stalls and any comments or requests.
I’ll use this information to allocate everyone to the most suitable stall and times.
👯 WANT TO WORK WITH A FRIEND?
Please include this in the comments section of the form.
I’m more than happy to accommodate requests where possible, including a specific stall or working alongside a friend.
📋 FETE DAY ROSTERS
I’ll send the updated Fete Day rosters to stall leaders and individual helpers next week, so everyone who has signed up knows where and when they are needed on Fete Day.

GRANDPARENTS DAY P & F MORNING TEA- MONDAY 26TH OCTOBER
Another year has passed and it is time to have our wonderful grandparents/special people at school!
Each year, we put on a special morning tea and we kindly ask for contributions from our wonderful community of treats for them to enjoy with a cuppa. We would love a range of savoury and sweet treats this year!
We would love your help to make this a successful morning tea for our cherished Grandparents!
Please head down to the Hall between 8am - 9am to drop off your goodies.

ENTERTAINMENT MEMBERSHIP
2ND HAND UNIFORM SHOP
We are still seeking winter uniform donations. If you have any winter items you would like to donate please drop them off in the bins located outside the P & F room. We also sell our Holy Spirit winter beanies at the uniform shop for $19.45 each. Our next uniform shop is running on Friday the 16th of October.
LOST PROPERTY
Please come and check lost property to see if your child has misplaced anything at school. We will be cleaning out Lost Property over the coming weeks! We will take any unlabelled clothes to the uniform shop.
