Foundation Learning

INQUIRY-THEN & NOW
At the end of last term foundation students attended an excursion at the beautiful Como House. Students in FF & FL stepped back in time to learn about life in the 1800s. They participated in tasks taking on the role of children of the mid-1800s; playing, working and exploring in hands-on activities.
They enjoyed working together as detectives, helping to solve the mystery of the Broken Doll, hunting for clues in Como House’s beautiful gardens, uncovering the changing nature of children’s pastimes with a series of outdoor games from the 1800s like croquet and quoits.
