Year 7 Information Evening

We held the above event on Thursday 4th December and we had a great turnout. Many of Seymour College’s new Year 7 students and their families visited the school, met their future teachers, and heard about all the exciting opportunities ahead next year.

Matilda Auditions

My name is Sarah D’Orria, and I am the Co-Producer for Seymour Performers Workshop’s upcoming youth production of Roald Dahl’s Matilda Jr, to be staged at the Seymour College Arts Centre in May 2026.

We are excited to announce that auditions are now open for young people aged 8–18. SPW’s Youth Theatre School offers students the opportunity to develop skills in musical theatre, acting, singing, dancing, and stagecraft in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment, guided by qualified instructors. In addition to onstage roles, we also offer a range of backstage opportunities, including set building, lighting, sound, costumes, front of house, photography and more.

Audition dates:31 January & 1 February 2026

We have an Information Pack available on our website, and we encourage parents and guardians to read this before booking an audition, as it outlines key details and expectations.

I have attached several Matilda Jr tiles along with a Word document version, should that be preferable. We would be grateful if you could please share this opportunity with your school community through your newsletter, social media, or student channels.
