Religious Education

Dear Parents and Carers
It is hard to believe we are at the end of another year. Our students have grown, and our teachers have worked hard to ensure every child has improved themselves academically, socially, and spiritually. We pride ourselves in helping all students strive to be the best they can. Like us, we hope you have seen these positive changes throughout the year.
When you read your child’s end of year school report don't forget to tell them how proud you are of their achievements and give positive encouragement where it is needed. When you take interest in what they do they will strive even harder. Be proud of what they have accomplished; we certainly are.
Advent ~ Let's Prepare for Birth of Jesus!!
At a time when the rest of the world is speeding up and everything becomes more frenzied than ever, Advent reminds us to slow down. In Sunday's gospel Matthew 24:37-44, focusses on the unexpected second coming of the Son of Man, urging believers to be vigilant and prepared, comparing it to the days before the flood. The passage emphasizes staying awake, as the coming of the Lord will be sudden. The key message..."stay awake! For you do not know on which day your Lord will come".
Advent is a time for waiting and preparation, and a time for hope, joy, and happiness. How will you prepare for the birth of Jesus? How will you give hope and joy to others?
Graduation Mass
It was a beautiful celebration last Thursday. Congratulations to our grade six students on the completion of their primary schooling.
School Disco
Last Friday was Disco Day!! Another fun tradition for St Luke's. The kids had a ball dancing to their favourite tunes.
Thank you to Michelle Parr and all volunteers who helped keep the kids well fed and hydrated throughout the disco fest!! Thanks also to Nav Gill for lending us his impressive sound system and light show. It really set the scene.
Funfields ~ Year 6 Big Day Out!
On Wednesday 3rd December our year sixes had their 'Big Day Out' at Funfields in Whittlesea. This tradition is a great way for our year 6 leaders to spend a final day of primary school together with their friends and teachers. It was a great day out for all who attended.
St Luke's Giving Tree
Thank you to the many families who have generously donated a gift for our wishing tree. These gifts will be distributed to St Vincent de Paul in the coming days. It's not too late to drop something in if you wish.
Best Wishes for a Happy and Safe Christmas Season.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults.
Are you searching for more peace in your life, do you feel something is missing in your life?
The RCIA process leads people through what the Catholic church believes and teaches. Our focus is on how the church and our faith lead us to a relationship with God, through joining a community of faith.
The RCIA process begins on Thursday the 9th of Oct at 7.30pm in the St Brendan’s Pastoral centre, with an enquiry night.
The role of sharing our faith with others is central to our own faith, this sometimes happens through us asking a question, or listening as others ask questions.
The RCIA team of MaryAnne Demase, Geoff Woodhouse, Sr Hartini and myself lead the process on behalf of Our Parish please keep us in your prayers and seek to be informed on what is happening in the RCIA process and who is involved.
Any questions can be directed to Anthony 58212633 Tuesday or Thursday.
