Holiday Works

As usual, we have a multitude of works being undertaken during the Term Break.

These include -

  • A range of tree works as part of our involvement in the Safe Trees program. This includes the removal of 8 high risk trees. There will also be weight reductions, dead wood removal, cable bracing and aerial inspections conducted on another 10 trees on our grounds. This work is being funded by the Victorian School Building Authority.
  • Laser-light sheeting and associated flashing to be repaired and replaced to both of the entrances to the Administration building. The degraded polycarbonate sheeting has started to leak and cause a slipping hazard near both sets of steps. These works will ensure improved safety in this high traffic areas
  • Damaged stormwater pipe to be replaced between Rooms 15 and 16. This include the removal and reinstatement of concrete in this area.
  • Further repairs to more of our roofing to ensure all of our buildings are watertight.
  • Gutter and Roof Cleaning
  • Repairs to the Level 1 deck area
  • Steam cleaning of the portable classrooms (Rooms 17-24) and the Level 2 area (Rooms 13-16)
  • Term Break Cleaning including deep cleaning of toilet facilities.

As usual, please feel free to use the school grounds during the holiday period as having many visitors onsite is a great deterrent for antisocial behaviour. If do you happen to notice any antisocial behaviour on our school grounds, especially if anyone is accessing the roof space or drinking alcohol, please contact the police directly on 000.
