Last week provided a lovely opportunity for staff from St Mary’s Primary School and St Mary’s College to come together in prayer at the Wednesday morning Parish Mass.

Beginning the year gathered as a wider Parish community was both grounding and uplifting. We extend our thanks to the College staff for their generosity in hosting morning tea, allowing time for connection and conversation following the Mass.

This Sunday 8 February, we celebrate the Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time, where the Gospel reminds us that we are called to be the “light of the world” and to let our actions shine through kindness, compassion and service to others. As a school community, we live our motto "finding the light within" which invites us to consider how we live out our faith each day through the way we care for one another, include others and use our gifts to make a positive difference. Throughout the coming weeks, students will be encouraged to reflect on how small acts of goodness can help bring light to our classrooms, our families and our wider community.

Families are warmly invited to attend our Beginning of School Year Mass this Sunday, 8 February at 5:30pm. This celebration will include a blessing of our students and staff, along with the presentation of SRC and Semester One leadership badges.
