Jake And The Beans Talk

Last term Charlie, Millie (school captains) and Mr Guy went to see Jake, the owner of Jake and the Beans Talk. We pitched the idea to Jake to continue funding us for the Star of the Month. Jake thought that the proposal was awesome and a great idea to keep rewarding kids around Solway for their kindness and hard work.

The Star of the Month is an award for students in the yard and in the classroom who have been showing kindness. The SRCs nominate one student each and then the school captains and SRC Captains pick who would be most worthy for the award.

Jake has been super generous donating the vouchers to our school so in return to Jake, make sure to check out his cafe on Waverley Road. The milkshakes are great and the food is delicious! We sat in the covered courtyard area which would be an awesome spot to have some breakfast or lunch!

The first Star of the Month awards were handed out at the assembly in Week 3. Well done to the amazing students who got the awards!
