Gardening Club:
A massive thank you to all the students who assisted in the Gardening Club last week. We
managed to plant an array of vegetables and herbs. Thank you to Mr Tongue who assisted in planting the pak choy, spinach and spring onion in the Prep Gardening Bed. In the main area of the Kitchen Garden, students planted snow peas, parsley and a new citrus tree. Additional planting was done as students planted cauliflower and broccoli in the two garden beds opposite the Japanese Room. Thank you to Miss Smith and her Mum for making the trip to Bunnings to purchase all of the plants and soil. If any parents arrive early for school drop off or pickup, please feel comfortable to assist in maintaining this space by weeding or watering. A watering can has been left by the tap. Happy gardening.
Visit to Estrella:
Last week, the Green Team visited Estrella Kinder to teach a valuable lesson on proper
rubbish disposal. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to share their knowledge and
passion with younger children in the community. The Green Team worked diligently to prepare for this important task. They planned meticulously, created engaging resources, and rehearsed their presentation to ensure they delivered their message effectively. It was a fantastic day with the kinder students enjoying their rubbish scavenger hunt and rubbish sorting activity.
Fantastic work, Green Team!
