Dear Kingswood parents,

We have plenty of exciting updates and reminders to share this week!

School Council 2025 – Positions Filled

Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in joining the School Council. We are pleased to announce that all positions for 2025 have been filled. We appreciate the dedication of our exiting school council members in helping shape the future of Kingswood Primary; Andrew Yeo, Jamie Pi, Kirsten Cooper, Victoria Lemmer and Kylie Duffy. We wish them all the best.

Reporting to Parents Evening – Tuesday, March 25

A reminder that our annual Reporting to Parents Evening will take place on Tuesday, March 25, at 6:00 pm. This is a fantastic opportunity for parents to gain insights into the overall results of Kingswood Primary School. All parents are welcome. We look forward to seeing you there!

Divisional Swimming Carnival – Good Luck to Our Students!

Next Wednesday, a group of our talented swimmers will be representing Kingswood at the Divisional Swimming Carnival. We wish them the best of luck. Go team Kingswood!

OHS Audit – A Fantastic Result!

We are thrilled to share that Kingswood has passed an external Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) audit with flying colours with 81.7%. This result reflects our ongoing commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment for our students and staff. Our areas for improvement were solely document driven and were already earmarked for implementation.

Important Reminder – Morning Supervision

A reminder that students should not be onsite before 8:45 AM unless supervised by a parent. Staff supervision begins at this time to ensure the safety of all students. Please help us keep our school safe by following this guideline.

Welcome Back & New Staff Members

We are delighted to welcome back Sharon Lomas, who has returned after an exciting trip to the Galápagos Islands. We can’t wait to hear about her adventures!

Additionally, we warmly welcome three new Education Support Staff members:

  • Daniella Nista

  • Matthew McCole

  • Nathan Stone

And one teaching staff member:

  • Jenna Herbert

We’re excited to have them as part of the Kingswood team!

Holly Torcasio Recognised by Rotary Club

A huge congratulations to Holly Torcasio, who was recently recognised by the Rotary Club of Noble Park/Dingley for her dedication and commitment to her profession.

In a first for the club, members chose to honour vocations, and Holly was selected alongside two apprentices from Keysborough Golf Club.

Holly had no idea why she had been invited to a Rotary dinner, so the recognition came as a complete surprise! She even handled an impromptu Q&A session like a pro. Well done, Holly, this recognition is truly well deserved!

Wishing everyone a fantastic week ahead!
