Record Numbers as 13 Murrumbeena Swimmers qualify for the Beachside Regional Swimming Carnival

 

It was a double success for our Murrumbeena swimmers last week as they achieved, incredible results at the Bentleigh District Swimming Carnival held at the Carnegie Memorial Swimming Pool.

MPS sent a team of 28 to the Carnival, with an amazing 13 qualifying to represent Bentleigh District at the Regionals. This was duly represented in the school finishing 3rd behind perennial powerhouses Oakleigh South and Coatesville.

Only the top 2 in each event qualifies with MPS having 6 first place ribbons and 7 second place ribbons with particular pride was the fact that MPS had 3 relay teams go through, which is testament to the schools depth this year. Please see below for MPS swimmers and events on the day:

The Beachside Regional Swimming Carnival brings 68 Schools both public and private, but it is with great confidence we send our swimmers to the Regionals.
