Year 8 Black Ranges Volleyball

On Wednesday the 19th of August our Year 8 Boys and girls volleyball teams headed to St Brigids college to take part in The BR volleyball tournament. Our teams took on other schools from around the district in what was a fun filled entertaining day of volleyball .

Whilst only a handful of our players had played before, it wasn't long before they picked up some skills and started playing well as a team, we didn't win a lot of sets, however the smiles and fun had was enough to keep the kids satisfied that they had done a great job in representing their school. well done to all involved, it was an enjoyable day and you should all be proud of your efforts 🙂

Year 7 Black Ranges Basketball

Horsham College took four teams two girls and two boys to Ararat to compete in the Black Range Basketball Competition.

Congratulations to our HC 1 Boys and Girls Teams on winning the Black Range Basketball Competition, these teams will now travel to Ballarat to compete in the Greater Western Region Competition on November 5.  The HC 2 Boys team had a great day winning two out of four games and HC 2 girls who had many laughs during the day managed to win one of their four games played.

A big thanks to Xavier S and Ryder T for coming along to umpire and Poppy M and Ruby B for making themselves available to coach the Girls teams.

A great day was had by all students, Mr Bruce, Josh, Katrina, and Jason were stoked with all students on their behaviour, respect they showed to others and their determination on the court well done Year 7’s it was an amazing day.

Year 8 Black Ranges Basketball

On Wednesday the 2nd of September our year 8 boys and girls basketball teams headed to Ararat to take on teams from around the district in the black range basketball Day. All three teams started the day well with all winning their first game of the day, our boys Continued their form, having a strong day winning all games and playing them all in top spirits, our game V St B’s was a great spectacle eventually winning in the final minutes. 

Our A girls also had a strong day, winning all Games, a lot of fun was had by the girls, especially against the Horsham B side, our B girls also had a great day, winning several matches and showing some great team play. Well done to all students that participated, you were great sports and all had a wonderful day.
