Interim Reports / Parent Teacher Interviews

Teachers are in the process of finalising term interim reports. These reports will be released within the next week and students are encouraged to reflect on these reports with their parents at home. It is a great opportunity to identify areas of success and also areas for growth. These reports can also be discussed further with your subject teachers at the upcoming parent teacher interviews which will be held in week 10 on Wednesday 16th September.

VET taster

Over the past 5 weeks some select students have taken part in a Healthcare VET taster, where they were able to perform clinical tasks and procedures while exploring Healthcare pathways. Here are some students thoughts on this opportunity.

Hailey Tippet:
What was the most enjoyable part of the VET taster?
All the hands on work was very engaging and interesting.

What did you do at the VET taster?
We learnt about the career pathways through the Healthcare industry and that you could attend either TAFE, go to Uni or get an apprenticeship in Healthcare

Has this opportunity been beneficial for choosing a career pathway?
Yes, it was very eye opening and educational

Isla Barron
What was the most enjoyable part of the VET taster?
We got to draw pretend blood that was really fun! Also just getting to learn about the small healthcare things you wouldn't think about.

What did you do at the VET taster?
Learn how to get patients in and out of bed, how to make beds in the hospital, draw blood, slide sheets, epipen use, snake bite bandaging, how to put in a nasogastric tube

Has this opportunity been beneficial for choosing a career pathway?
Yes! It really has showed me so much about Healthcare. It really benefitted me in what i will do when im older and the pathway i can go down from it.
