STUDENT SUCCESS STORY
Tyler Nalder
We are incredibly proud of Tyler Nalder, a current Year 10 student and our First Nations Ambassador, for his commitment to his sporting pursuits outside of school. Tyler is an amateur boxer representing Iron Fist Boxing Gym in Mildura, and his dedication to his training and goals is outstanding!
Tyler’s weekly routine is a testament to his discipline. He runs every morning to maintain his fitness, trains at Iron Fist four times a week, and travels to Adelaide regularly to compete. His hard work has already paid off, with Tyler becoming the Under‑15 70kg Novice State Champion for South Australia last year.
Tyler shares:
“I’m a proud young amateur boxer representing Iron Fist Boxing Gym in Mildura. Boxing isn’t just a sport for me — it’s my passion and my dream. In 2025, I achieved my biggest milestone yet by becoming the Under‑15 State Champion, and I’ve already kicked off 2026 strong with another win. This August, I’ll be stepping into the ring at the Golden Gloves Championships in Queensland — an important event in my journey toward one day representing Australia at the Olympics.”
Tyler's family have started a GoFundMe page to help him get to Queensland for the Golden Gloves Championships later this year. They are welcoming donations from anyone who wishes to contribute. Every bit of support helps Tyler take another step toward his dream of one day representing Australia.
We look forward to following Tyler’s progress and cheering him on as he continues to make us proud.
