Year 11 Art Creative Practice
Yr 11 ACP students responded to Roman Ondak's Good Feelings in Good Times, 2003 to begin to explore approaches to collaborative, durational performance art works.
Following Ondak's instructions to create a series of artificial queues in front of slightly unexpected but not totally irrelevant locations, the queue formed, dissolved and formed again in five predetermined locations on campus. Students could not discuss the performance with each other or anyone who engaged with the queue for the 40 minute duration of the performance, instead performing. the queue as if it was real.
On reflection students observed the distorted sense of time, a heightened awareness of each other and their environment, the pleasure that came from a unified sense of cooperation and a shared secret intention that the performance emphasised.
