Aged between 17 and 25 years of age and identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
Please note, applicants can apply at 16, however must be 17 years old upon selection to a Cadet school.

The School of Indigenous Studies supports Indigenous Year 12 students to attend the July WACE revision programfor free. To be eligible, students should be taking 3 or more ATAR subjects. All accommodation and travel costs are covered for regional Year 12 students.

As a pre-apprentice you will learn how to work in a Mechanical
Workshop, use hand and power tools, work on engines, and change tyres.
During the course you will learn the basics of light vehicle mechanics and gain these skills:
