Police Cadet Applications are Open

If you are 16 – 19 years of age and want to explore career options and possibilities at the WA Police Force, consider applying for a police cadetship.  There is an online application process which takes 2-3 weeks to assess. 

 

The entire application process takes 3 – 4 months.

UWA Future Student Athlete Program

 

 

The UWA Future Student Athlete Program is designed for high school students in Years 10, 11, and 12 who are interested in experiencing student-athlete life at UWA.

 

As a program member, you’ll receive: 

  • Updates on scholarship applications, entry pathways, and course options
  • Invitations to student-athlete tours and exclusive events
  • Support with your UWA application

Apply Now - Dates for Curtin Medicine Casper Test

 

If you will be applying to Curtin University Medicine (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery), apart from the UCAT, applicants will also need to register and complete the Casper Test. 

  • The Casper Test is held nationally and is sat online from home.
  • Applicants are responsible for making their own arrangements to register for the Casper Test. Please refer to the Acuity Insights website to register for the test.

Available Casper test dates for Curtin Medicine: 

  • 5 Aug 2025 at 7:00 PM (AEST)
  • 11 Sep 2025 at 7:00 PM (AEST)
  • 5 Oct 2025 at 10:00 AM (AEDT)

June Applications Open:  Black Swan Theatre Company Youth Ambassadors

 

The Black Swan Youth Ambassador Program is a unique opportunity for young people to connect with Black Swan Theatre on a more personal level. 

Throughout the year participants will enjoy developing important creative leadership skills, attending special events, workshops and growing friendships with like-minded peers.

This year-long program comprises of attending performances in our annual season, quarterly Ambassador catch-ups, invitations to special events and workshops.

Nominated by a teacher or parent, applications are open to youth in Years 11-12.

2026 Elevate (Government) Scholarship Program Open:

Boosting Diversity in STEM:

The Elevate scholarships are for domestic female and non-binary students who are planning to undertake a STEM degree or a higher degree to improve business acumen in 2026.

 

Applications close 1 September

 

The Elevate program provides:

  • A scholarship Undergraduate category – up to $30,000 over up to 3 years
  • Access to skill-building workshops  
  • Access to peer mentoring and networking events  
  • Access to 24/7 wellbeing and psychosocial support 

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.

Don’t Rush to put in an early offer

If you know what university you want to go to and what course you want to do, you can apply now via TISC. 

 

Only your first preference is considered when you put in an early application. You can change your mind, but it takes a bit of fiddling around. You have until the 2nd of September to apply. 

If you want to be clearer about what to do next year you can:

  • Speak to your school career advisor. 
  • Go to one or more universities and speak to their career advisors. 
  • There are a range of options that you can check out HERE
  • You have probably already done the MyFuture Aptitude Tests. There’s lots of different tests for you to play with HERE.

This Uni Ready toolkit came out last year. It was designed by students in NSW to assist students with their transition from school to university. 

It provides insider tips, study strategies, and peer support to help you navigate the leap from high school to university.

The Uni Ready toolkit is a free resource created by the Access, Equity, and Inclusion team at UNSW in partnership with the University of Sydney and the University of Newcastle, supported by funding from the NSW Government.

Apply now for National Youth Science Forum 2026

Applications close 20 June for January 2026

The National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) Year 12 Program gives students who are about to start year 12 a broader understanding of study and career options available in (STEM).

Participants stay at the Australian National University, Canberra on campus at university colleges (6 –14 January 2026) and become immersed in science and technology. Participants:

  • participate in tours of science and technology facilities,
  • learn about cutting-edge research,
  • engage with industry partners and research providers,
  • learn about university, training and STEM career pathways,
  • mix with like-minded students their age from all over Australia,

The program fee for the NYSF Year 12 Program in 2026 is $3,065. There is a non-refundable $70 application fee. 

 

Funding assistance

 

As part of the application process, any students experiencing financial hardship or another disadvantage that negatively impacts their ability to attend the program may apply for an NYSF Access and Equity Scholarship.

We also encourage students to seek financial support from NYSF’s founding partner, Rotary. Many Rotary Clubs are familiar with the NYSF and able to offer some level of funding or assist students to fundraise to attend. You can use the Rotary Club Finder to search for your local Club.

 Experience ECU Days | Winter School Holidays Year 9 & 10’s

 

Thursday 10 July Business and Law/Engineering: 

 

The Moot Court simulation will offer participants an immersive experience into legal proceedings and ignite interests in legal careers. Other activities will include Shark Tank style business pitching and Engineering style practical building opportunities.

This is a hands-on day where students will be engaging in a Nutrition workshop making smoothies, a Microscope Hair session (bring in your pet hair), and an interactive Sport Science exercise session to add a dynamic element to the day!

This day will have three exciting workshops that will allow students to explore Cyber Security and personal security practices, use our science labs to find out what bugs live in the campus lake and use paper chromatography to potentially uncover artwork from the mysterious Banksy!
