Harmony Week
It was an amazing site to see, looking out across the MEPS school grounds to find a sea of orange as we wore the official harmony colour to celebrate Harmony Week and recognise the United Nation's Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Thank you to families for sourcing orange items to assist students in getting into the spirit of the day. More importantly than dressing in orange, it was great to hear student conversation about family, traditions and culture across our school as they learned more in their classrooms about why we have Harmony Day and the importance of recognising and celebrating each other's cultures. Thank you to Eliza who took on the challenge of sharing more about her family at assembly. We learned so much from you about both Kashmir and Russia as you told us about your parents and are looking forward to upcoming assemblies where others can follow your example and tell us all the special things about their history and culture.
Inform and Empower- Raising Kids in a Digital World
Earlier this term we were fortunate to have Inform and Empower run a parent workshop for us regarding the challenges and opportunities faced by our young people when navigating the online world. If you happened to have missed out on this live opportunity, below is a link to a replay that you can use to better understand some of the key research and parent support recommended.

Happy Holidays
I would like to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday break over the next two weeks. An important element of taking care of your mental health and wellbeing is taking the opportunity to do those things that help to recharge your mind and body and bring you joy. Whether that is sleeping in, a few movie nights, your favourite video game or spending time in nature, I hope that everyone finds a little time to pause on the regular demands of life and enjoy something that makes them smile over the school break. We are looking forward to welcoming you back with a full battery ready for an exciting term two full of discovery and learning.
Kind regards,
