Forgiveness

I was part of a great conversation today in a Year 10 RE class about forgiveness. Forgiveness is not merely overlooking wrongs but actively choosing love over resentment, freeing both giver and receiver. As importantly, it brings healing, restores peace within ourselves and improves our mental health. I encourage you all to both practice and promote forgiveness as an important part of our spirituality and mindfulness.

Sandhurst Spirituality Day

All Sandhurst School staff participated in a Spirituality Day last Wednesday. It provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on our personal and professional lives, as well as the significance of our roles within Catholic education. We are grateful for occasions like this that support our spiritual wellbeing and contribute positively to our mental health.

It's been a busy week!

It was a pleasure to observe the various engaging activities taking place at St Anne's College this week. Our Year 6 students experienced a preview of what to expect in Year 7, while some of our Year 12 students organised a car wash fundraising event. We welcomed a visit from local kindergarten children, and our Year 6 students have been actively engaging with the community through visits to retirement villages. Additionally, Year 10 students participated in wheelchair football, and all students took part in the Athletics days. And as always, our classrooms were full of meaningful and enriching learning experiences.

Aths Week

Congratulations to everyone on a successful Athletics Week. It was wonderful to observe students enjoying themselves and participating with such enthusiasm and sportsmanship. I would also like to extend my gratitude to the staff members who organised the events, with special thanks to Stephen Kealy for his significant contributions to the planning and coordination.

Hockey Champions!

Well done to the Year 5/6 hockey team who took out the regional Hockey tournament last week. This has won them a spot in the state finals in September. Go St Anne's!
