Word of the Week
Students are encouraged to continually use the "Word of the Week" in context during class, expanding their oral language skills, one word at a time! Each time a student uses our 'Word of the Week' in the classroom, they will earn a point. The student with the most points at the end of the term will receive a book prize to further expand their vocabulary.
We will publish our Word of the Week on Facebook and in the newsletter. Please encourage and support your child to use this word at home.

World Teachers' Day - Friday, 30th October
This Friday, 30th October, we are inviting everyone to Shine a Light on our teachers who inspire, support, and empower our children and young people every single day. From light bulb moments to helping someone find their way, teachers make a difference in ways big and small. This World Teachers' Day, we’re putting that impact in the spotlight. We would love your children to help us celebrate. If they would like to write a small note, make a card or just say thank you and share a little bit of joy with their teacher – you will make their day tomorrow!
Late Arrivals
We cannot stress enough the importance of getting your children to school on time every day. There has been an increase of students arriving at school after the bell time of 8.45am. Students arriving at school late has an impact on the students themselves, the class and the teacher, not to mention the valuable learning time the students are missing if this is a regular occurrence. Please support us in ensuring your children arrive at school before 8.45am.
2027 Bus Travel Passes
School student travel information for parents and students
Applications for 2027 School Student Transport Scheme (SSTS) travel are now open. Students must re-apply or update their details as soon as possible if they:
are changing schools or campus location
are changing home address
are repeating a year
have received an expiry notification for their school travel entitlement.
Students who meet the distance eligibility requirements will have their entitlement updated automatically. Students who no longer meet the distance requirements will receive an expiry notification. Please note that minimum distance requirements vary depending on the year/grade the student is enrolling in.
School Travel Passes
Students living in rural and regional areas will receive their travel pass from their nominated transport operator. It may be issued via their school or be sent directly to them at home.
Note: some rural and regional operators do not issue travel passes. Students/parents should confirm with their nominated operator if they do not receive a pass.
Terms of Use
Students must show their school travel pass when travelling within the approved times between 6.30am and 7.00pm from Monday to Friday on school days only. Cards are personal and cannot be shared. All students are required to comply with the Student code of conduct. The code of conduct aims to ensure the safety and well-being of school children and other passengers. It is important that parents ensure their child is aware of this, as failure to comply with the code of conduct can result in a suspension from travel.
