World Teacher's Day

Tomorrow, we celebrate World Teachers’ Day and this year's theme, Shine a Light on Teachers, couldn't be more fitting.

At St Edward’s, we are incredibly fortunate to have a team of dedicated, passionate and caring teachers who bring so much more than lessons to our classrooms each day.

Our teachers celebrate the big achievements, notice the little wins, navigate the tricky moments and never stop believing in the potential of every child. Teaching is not always easy and the work that makes the greatest difference often happens quietly, behind the scenes. Things like the extra time taken to support a struggling student, the encouraging words when something feels too hard, the patience to try again and the joy of seeing that wonderful lightbulb moment when learning finally clicks.

To our wonderful teachers, thank you!

Thank you for your energy, your commitment, your humour, your patience and most importantly, the genuine care you show our students every single day.

You make a difference in ways you may never fully realise and our school is a better place because of you.

To our families, I encourage you to take a moment this week to shine a light on a teacher who has made a difference in your child's life. A simple thank you can mean the world!

Thanks to Kat Ashford for creating the wonderful slide presentation that celebrates our teachers.

Until next week,

Keep smiling,

Alison Hatton
