Sports News

Hi all

On Friday our boys and girls softball teams travelled to the Cheltenham Baseball Club for the Kingston Division finals.  There were eight schools in each competition, all of them being the the champion school of their local district.

The students had a practice run during the week and our girl's were predominantly selected from our very good t-ball team.  It was a day when everything gelled.  From both teams.  Both teams made the grand final and both teams won the Grand Final!

Well done to Pauline and the kids.  We "smacked" it out of the ball park!

Next stage is the South Metro Region finals on Tuesday 10th November.

Our Preps, Year 1s and Year 2s are learning how to play Kickball.  It is the introductory sport to all of the "diamond sports" such as T-ball, softball and baseball.   St Louis has produced plenty of great cricketers, netballers and footballers.  Maybe one day, we might get someone into the "Majors".

There is a lot of upcoming sport, especially for our older kids.  Here's a run down of what's coming up:

• Thursday 22nd October - Boys Basketball at Jubilee Park, Frankston.
• Friday 23rd October at Edithvale PS (Cricket and Kickball at Edithvale Reserve.  Volleyball and Basketball at their school). Students will be riding their bikes to and from Edithvale.
• Tuesday 20th October - Boys Cricket at Roy Dore Reserve.
• Monday 26th October - Girls Kingston Division Tennis at Maccabi Tennis Club
• Thursday 29th October - Little Saints AFL Cup at Belvedere Reserve, Seaford.
• Friday 30th October hosting Chelsea Heights PS. (Cricket at Glen St Reserve)
• Friday 6th November at Patterson Lakes PS.  (Cricket at Roy Dore Res). Kickball, Volleyball and Basketball at their school.
• Tuesday 10th November - Softball Region Finals
• Friday 13th November hosting Aspendale Gardens PS.  Cricket at Aspendale Gardens PS, all other sports at our school.
