Learning and Teaching

Learning, Growing and Celebrating at Trinity
As we settle into Term 4, it is wonderful to see our students continuing to approach their learning with curiosity, enthusiasm and a willingness to try new things. This term, we are exploring the concept of creativity across our learning areas, encouraging students to think deeply, ask questions, explore possibilities and find different ways to solve problems. Creativity is not just about making art; it is also about using our imagination, thinking critically, collaborating with others and having the confidence to try something new.
At Trinity, we know that positive learning behaviours play an important role in helping every child flourish. Our focus continues to be on developing students who are curious, resilient, respectful and independent learners. Families can support this learning at home by encouraging children to talk about what they have learnt each day, asking open-ended questions, celebrating effort rather than just outcomes, and helping children understand that mistakes are valuable opportunities to learn. Reading together, playing games, involving children in everyday problem-solving and encouraging them to persevere when something feels challenging are simple yet powerful ways to strengthen learning beyond the classroom.
We also encourage our students to take increasing responsibility for their learning by organising their belongings, completing tasks to the best of their ability and approaching challenges with a positive attitude. When school and home work in partnership to reinforce these habits, we help children develop the confidence and skills they need to become lifelong learners.
Celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation
We extend our warmest congratulations and prayers to the students who are preparing to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation. This is an important milestone in their faith journey, as they continue to deepen their relationship with God and reflect on the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We wish each of them and their families a meaningful and joyful celebration, surrounded by the love and support of their faith community.
