Principal's News

Dear Families & Friends,
Welcome Back to Term 4, our final term for 2026. As always it was great to see so many smiling faces running through the gate last week to reconnect with friends after the holidays. Many children shared stories of going away, going to the movies, playing in the park or just simply relaxing at home with their families. Whilst I am sure all children do love their time away from school most also love being back with their teachers and friends as well. Thank you also for the many kind words and shared stories from parents these past two weeks as we have all settled back into the school routine. There is a great deal planned for Term 4 and much to look forward to especially for our Year 6 students who will graduate from Primary School at the end of this year. It will also be a busy time at the other end of the school as we welcome our Prep 2027 families who will join us for their transition days later this month.
Term Learning Overviews
As is our custom at the start of each new term I would like to share each levels Term 4 Learning Overviews. These importanrt overviews outline the learning in each curriculum area and are a great way for parents to understand what will be covered so that learning conversations and support can happen at home. Please take the time to read through your child's Term 4 Learning Overview.
Swimming - Prep to Year 2 Program
Our Junior swimming program begins soon and will run from Mon 19th - Fri 30th Oct. This is an exciting time for our Prep to Year 2 students. Please see Mrs McLeary's Swimming Page in this week's newsleter.
Welcome back Ms Ellen
You may have already noticed but Ms Ellen is back with us again this term after her exciting travels overseas and it will be great to have her in our classrooms helping our children and also assisting in the office when she is needed. This term we also welcomed another new family to Trinity, Evie in year 5, Max in Year 3 and Benji in Prep as well, of course, as their parents, Andrew and Elizabeth.
2027 School Fees
At Trinity Primary School, we are committed to helping every child flourish by fostering intellectual curiosity, strengthening character, and supporting wellbeing within a nurturing Catholic community.
In planning for 2027, our focus has been to ensure we can continue to provide the high-quality learning opportunities, care and support that families value. At the same time, we are committed to keeping costs as low as possible for families, which is why our annual tuition fees for 2027 will be set at accordinly. While our fees increase will naturally need to reflect normal cost-of-living movements over time, taking these adjustments into consideration ensures a stable, dependable operational foundation for our school. Most importantly, it ensures our classrooms remain focused on delivering the personal care, quality teaching, and attention your child deserves. A more detailed letter will be sent home in the coming weeks which will outline the 2027 fees and our move to a tiered family fee structure which all MACS schools must adopt rather than our current one family fee structure.
Consultative - POLs Class Structures
Over the next few weeks our Consultative Comittee will be meeting to discuss and set our positions of leadership for the coming years as well as look at our class structures and groupings for 2027. This is an annual process which allows us to best address the learning needs of students as well as the operational needs and restrcictions of the school. As always, later on this year students will be assigned to their classes for next year and will have the opportunity to meet their 2027 teachers before the end of the year.
Building Update
We have, up to now been on time with our building project, however, the lift installation has presented some unexpected delays. Our builders are comitted to trying to make up this time and will be working hard to ensure any delays are kept to a minimum. We will stilll endeavour to have our Year 3/4s back into the main building before the end of the year. This will give us the MPR and Library spaces back for normal use.
