Bexley’s Classroom Visits
Bexley, our much-loved St Mary’s Wellbeing Dog, loves visiting our classrooms! He enjoys being part of our learning because our students are fantastic at showing what it means to be Respectful, Responsible and Safe.
When Bexley visits during learning time, our amazing students know to:
🐾 Keep learning and stay focused on their work.
👂 Listen carefully to their teachers.
🗣️ Use calm voices so everyone can keep learning.
🚶 Move calmly and safely around Bexley.
Once students have finished their learning tasks, and if it is the right time, they may have an opportunity to spend a little time with Bexley and give him a gentle pat.
Bexley is also learning how to rest when he needs to during his classroom visits. We are helping Bexley learn that he has a special space where he can take a break or have a little sleep. As we establish this space, we are also learning that when Bexley is resting, it is important to give him some quiet time and let him relax.
We are so proud of the way our students care for Bexley when he visits. Bexley loves being part of our classrooms, and we love having him as part of our school community!
