From the Principal

Dear Parents,
I trust Term 3 has started well for you and hope you enjoy all the news updates and photos in this newsletter.
I have a few brief updates I would like to share:
Planning for 2027
Thank you to the many families who completed our Sentiment Surveys as we consider our priorities for the future. There is a strong goodwill among our parents toward the school community and a great optimism about the future. As well, there are some clear emerging themes which will contribute to our next strategic plan. The Board and our Leadership Team are beginning to work on these plans and are looking forward to sharing these as we prepare for 2027.
Confirmation of Ongoing Enrolment Email
You will have received an email from our Registrar asking you to complete a form to confirm ongoing enrolment for 2027. Please attend to this if you have not done so yet and thank you to those who have completed it already. This is very helpful for our planning and preparation for next year.
Designated Accessible Parking
The College has several Designated Accessible Parking spots in both car parks which are only to be used by those who specifically require them. Accessible parking spaces exist because some members of our community genuinely rely on them to safely enter and exit their vehicles. When these spaces are occupied by people who do not require them, it can create significant difficulties, compromise safety, and leave people with disabilities feeling excluded.
I have noted some parents/guardians are using these spaces but do not actually have a specific need or permission to do so. This is especially true during the afternoon pick-up.
These spaces are essential for those who specifically require them.
We ask that you do not park in these spaces unless the driver or passengers in your vehicle hold a valid Australian Disability Parking (ADP) Permit or an equivalent recognised accessible parking permit. The permit must be clearly displayed in the vehicle, and the permit holder must be travelling in the car as either a driver or a passenger at the time of use.
College Staff will ask drivers to find another parking spot if parked in these spaces without the appropriate permit. Thank you for your support in this.
I look forward to seeing many of you at Parent Conferences in a few weeks.
Warm Regards
Stephan Munyard
Principal
