Vermont showcases talents at National Finals

We have a new trophy in our cabinet after the National South Finals of the 2025 FIRST LEGO League robotics competition.

Our ‘Unbreakable 3310’ and ‘Chickens Rehatched’ teams had an amazing day at MLC on Saturday December 6th. They were 2 of 49 teams who competed on the day. And while neither team progressed to the international round, to represent our school at the national level in our first attempt and come away with a trophy which was an incredible effort.

We also had a pair of Year 9 girls compete independently, who also came away with a trophy. So, while they were not officially representing the school, they added to the Vermont talent on display.

To further bolster our stocks for next year, one of Vermont Primary School’s teams, ‘Flamingo Rhapsody” did progress to the international round (in Sydney), and we understand that members of that team will be joining us in Year 7 next year.

We look forward to another exciting year of competition next year. Anyone currently in Years 7 to 9 who want to get involved should contact Mr Paragreen or Ms Wilson early in February 2026.
