From the Principal

Welcome Back!
Welcome to the new 2026 school year, everyone. I hope that, if you were fortunate enough to have a summer break, it was relaxing and gave you time to enjoy the time off with your families.
It is wonderful to see our Foundation students begin their primary school journey so smoothly. Their presence brings a lovely sense of innocence and joy to our college community. I would also like to extend a warm welcome to all the new families joining St Anne’s College this year.
Our Year 7 students have also enjoyed a fantastic start to the year. Transitioning to secondary school can feel overwhelming, yet they've settled in smoothly and embraced their new journey with confidence!
This year holds great significance for our Year 12 students, a highly capable group. I extend my best wishes to them for a successful final year of high school.
See our 'Around the College' page in this newsletter for all our back to school photos and coverage.
The new year offers a chance to begin anew and establish fresh goals for everyone. I wish all our students, staff, and families abundant blessings for a joyful and healthy 2026.
Opening Liturgy
Next Tuesday 10 February we will be gathering in the St Mel's Church for our first liturgy as a whole school. During the Liturgy, we will be presenting our new college captains and Year 12 students with badges. All families are welcome to attend.
Apology Breakfast
I am looking forward to attending the Greater Shepparton Apology Breakfast for the anniversary of the national apology on Friday 13 February with our Koori Education Officer Leonie Scott and some of our students. If any of our First Nations families would like their child to attend please contact the school.
Year 12 Retreat
I extend my best wishes to our Year 12 students as they attend their retreat next week. It provides an excellent chance for personal reflection ahead of the demanding year ahead. I'm confident it will be a truly enriching experience for them!
Go Blues!
It was great to see players from the Carlton Football Club visit the school today. The students (and the principal!) were very excited to meet members of a likely AFL finals team this year!
