End of Term 3 Wrap-Up
As we come to the close of another school term, the Leadership Team would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our dedicated staff for their continued efforts and commitment to our students. Term 3 has been an exceptionally busy one, filled with a wide range of learning opportunities, events, and celebrations that have highlighted the strengths of our LNPS community.
From SAPSASA Sports, Knockout competitions, Learning Coinferences, Sports Day, class excursions, Book Week, and the Festival Choir performance at the Entertainment Centre, our students have represented our school with pride. They have demonstrated not only their skills and talents, but also our school values and learner qualities, carrying themselves with confidence and respect in every setting.
We would also like to acknowledge how wonderfully our new receptions have settled into their first year of schooling. It has been a joy to see them grow in confidence and thrive in the classroom environment. This is a testament to our highly successful Little Flyers Transition Program. You can read more about our Little Flyers on this newsletter.
A special thank you goes to our families for your incredible support, particularly at Sports Day, where the turnout was immense and the atmosphere reflected the strength of our community spirit. Congratulations to PIERSON for winning the 2026 Sports Day!
As we celebrate a successful term, we wish all of our staff, students, and families a safe, restful, and enjoyable holiday break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in Term 4! A short but very important term! Come back recharged, refreshed, and ready for the exciting opportunities ahead.
LNPS Shines at the Festival of Music
On Tuesday 15 September, our talented Year 5 and 6 Festival Choir performed in the Primary Schools Festival of Music: Stars on Stage at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
Alongside more than 1,300 Year 5 and 6 students from across South Australia, 23 LNPS students proudly took to the stage, showcasing their enthusiasm, confidence and musical talent.
We were also delighted to see Zaydan Sohaib and Louis Leyden represent our school as street percussion artists. Both students demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill as part of the opening number, Sing!, performing across all four concerts.
The Primary Schools Festival of Music is a treasured South Australian tradition that brings students together through artistic excellence, cultural diversity and social inclusion. Experiences such as these create lasting memories while developing confidence, teamwork and resilience. Participation in singing and music also supports learning by strengthening concentration, memory, listening skills and creativity.
This year’s concert was an unforgettable experience. Audiences were treated to energetic guest performances, outstanding musicianship from the orchestra and performance troupe, and a vibrant repertoire spanning a range of musical genres. From the uplifting energy of Sing!, I Feel Like Dancing and the Marcia Medley to the challenging commissioned work Wattle Sky, our LNPS students demonstrated tenacity, commitment and a genuine love of singing.
A heartfelt thank you to our choir teacher, Emma Chesterman, whose passion, dedication, expertise and encouragement prepared our students so beautifully for this special event. We also extend our sincere thanks to Cheryl Barker for sharing her extensive experience, knowledge, and boundless enthusiasm. We are incredibly fortunate to have both Emma and Cheryl supporting our students.
Thank you also to our choir families for the encouragement and support they provided throughout the year, with a special mention to Melissa Tonkin for volunteering at our off-site rehearsal in August. The support provided at home is an invaluable part of every student’s choir journey.
We are incredibly proud of all our performers and grateful to have participated in such a spectacular celebration of music, learning and public education.
