FN Bundaberg enjoyed a massive surge in brand exposure when the team asked food challenge fanatic, Jimmy Judge, if he would like to compete with them in the 5-Stacker Burger Challenge from local hamburger joint, Willows At Burnett.

FN Bundaberg has been in the habit of a weekly ‘One Bite Challenge’, where team members support local food outlets by reviewing their fare and then promoting it on their socials. The effect has led to a revival of interest in local small businesses and substantial community engagement. Having completed an earlier review of Willows At Burnett’s burgers, Willows upped the ante by asking FN Bundaberg if it would like to accept its 5-Stacker Burger Challenge.

FN Bundaberg Principal, Justin Mayberry tells Our Fabric that Sales Agent, Simon Cook is always looking for clever promotional angles. So, after accepting the invitation, he got in contact with Jimmy Judge to see if he’d like to join our team in last week’s 5-Stacker Burger Challenge.

A Townsville local, Jimmy Judge has a combined following on Instagram and Facebook exceeding 250,000 followers and has captivated social media users while increasing his following exponentially with epic food challenges. He accepted FN Bundaberg’s invitation, and all three Burgermeisters got down to business.

Hopelessly outclassed by the ‘eating machine’, who demolished his burger in under 5-minutes, Justin and Simon tapped out some eight minutes later – unable to finish.

Proving the power of community connection and positive media, Willows At Burnett’s which had been considering selling before FN Bundaberg did its first burger review is now looking at expanding!
