Parents' Association
“At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to a child's success
is the positive involvement of parents.”
2025 Positions
A number of our key roles will be vacant in 2025. We would love any interested parents to come along to the next meeting to see what is involved in being part of the Parent’s Association. The current roles that will be vacant in 2025 are outlined below. We would generally encourage a two year term for these roles.
Parents Association Coordinator (shared role) for 2025 - Co-Presidents are responsible for leading the Parents Association, promoting the interests of parents, students and teachers within St Cecilia’s. Co-Presidents meet on a regular basis with Marty with the aim of adopting a programme of activities which promotes the involvement of parents in the operation of St Cecilia’s. This is an integral role of the PA in organising social events, providing support for major school events and fundraising.
Treasurer - this role reviews and prepares the financial report for the committee. Specific accounting knowledge is definitely not required.
Second Hand Uniform - we are looking at streamlining this role to ensure that parents have greater access to 2nd hand uniform items on a more frequent basis throughout the term. Whilst you wouldn't be required to be available on all of these occassions - we do require someone to oversee and coordinate this process.
2025 Fair Coordinator - The Fair Coordinator oversees the fair committee which has responsibility for the planning, organisation and operation of our annual school fair. They work closely with the school principal in planning and coordination of this key school event.
We are also seeking any parents that might be willing to help coordinate the upcoming Father's Day Breakfast on Friday 30th August alongside Lisa Kennedy.
Further information on any of these roles can be obtained from Jen Mcgrath at jmcgrath1976@yahoo.com or Georgie Carman at georgiecarman00@gmail.com or happy to answer any questions at the next Parent’s Association meeting.
Thanks
Jen & Georgie
