Kids in Space
The past two terms have seen all the 5/6 students go on an epic learning journey as they have participated in the Kids in Space program. They students have learnt all about space technologies and the growing array of space careers that exist now and that will exist in the future.
They all learnt how to create 3D digital designs and use a 3D printer to make these designs come to life. Putting together all this learning, the student then worked in groups to come up with a problem and use the Design Thinking process to create a solution.
They exhibited their learning last Friday and this Monday to staff students and parents, who were all overwhelmed with the remarkable presentation the students produced.
We hope that the learning and inspiration experienced through this program will see a new generation of leaders emerge in our students who look at the world with an expanded perspective and that value the importance of working in teams to solve the problems of our world to make a better future for all.
We are very proud of everyone of the year 5/6 students for their efforts, but also want to acknowledge that the program would not have been possible with the work of Ms Christie, Mrs Brownhill, Mrs Revere and Ms Cerrina, all of whom went well above and beyond to support the students in their projects.
