Harmony Week
During March SCSC came together to celebrate Harmony Week with students participating in a range of activities in the library. Students and staff were also encouraged to wear a splash of orange.
Harmony Week is the celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from different backgrounds. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging.
Start a Conversation: A Vaping Support Resource
On Tuesday 1st April Barwon Health had a launch event for 'Start a Conversation: A Vaping Support Resource'.
During this launch, some of the posters that our students have created were displayed as inspiration to other schools of how they can start conversations around preventing vaping with their students and school community. A big thank you to the students who have made posters so far!
Spectacle Hub Armstrong Creek
Dear Surf Coast Secondary College Community,
At Spectacle Hub, children’s eye care isn’t just something we do—it’s our specialty.
As a dedicated paediatric optometry clinic, we have the expertise, advanced equipment, and experience to manage children’s vision with the highest level of care. From early detection of vision issues to specialised management of children’s eye health, we are committed to giving kids the best possible start in their learning journey.
To support our local schools and the students who rely on clear vision to succeed, we are offering free frames to all students, teachers, and staff who need glasses.
Parents simply need to mention Surf Coast Secondary College at their child’s appointment, and we’ll ensure they receive quality frames at no cost.
We’d love to collaborate with your school to help make eye care more accessible for families in our community. Let us know how we can support your students and staff, and we’d be happy to discuss further.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
