Principal's Message
Mr Adam Beilken
Dear Parents, Caregivers, and School Community,
Welcome to the latest edition of our Marangaroo Primary School newsletter. As we have moved through this term, it’s wonderful to see our students engaged in their learning, embracing new challenges, and demonstrating our school values every day.
Staff Changes
At the end of this term, we will be saying a short farewell to Mrs Tess Prunty who will be taking maternity leave for the remainder of this year. I would like to wish Tess and her husband Ryan all the best with the new addition into their family. While Tess is on leave, the following staff arrangements have been made to cover her for the remainder of this year.
Monday and Tuesday – Mrs Carmen Smith
Wednesday to Friday – Mrs Toni McLoughlin
Student Update Forms
Earlier this week, student update forms were sent home. These forms help the school ensure that we keep our records up to date and are able to contact the appropriate people in the event of anything happening at school. Can you please return these forms to the school as soon as possible.
Edudance Concert
Throughout this term, all classes have been busy learning their Edudance routine. To celebrate the conclusion of Edudance at Marangaroo in 2025, the classes are coming together to run a concert where the dance routine each class has learnt will be performed. The date of this concert is Thursday 10 April. It will take place between 2.15pm – 2.45pm and will be held in the school undercover area.
P & C
At the most recent P & C Meeting on 24 March, a new executive team was elected. I would like to congratulate and thank the following parents for taking a role on the P & C.
President – Mrs Dominique Smith
Vice President – Mrs Hollie Roberts
Secretary – Miss Waimaria Te Tai
Treasurer – Mrs Alison Wynne
Executive Team – Mr Mike Rowston, Miss Amy Kinnersly & Mrs Tara Wilkinson.
Save the Date – The P & C are holding a Mother’s Day stall on Tuesday May 6.
I look forward to continuing the partnership with the P & C.
School Uniforms
The P & C were unfortunately unable to find a uniform coordinator to take over the running of the uniform shop. The school has therefore entered an agreement with Wanneroo Uniforms to supply uniforms for Marangaroo. From next term, parents requiring school uniforms will need to go to Wanneroo Uniforms shopfront to purchase. Their address is Unit 1/16 Prindiville Drive, Wangara. They are open Monday – Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm, and on Saturday 9.00am – 12.00pm.
Staff Carpark
This is a reminder that over the school holiday break, repair works will be undertaken on the staff carpark. Temporary fencing will be installed on the weekend of April 11, and works will continue throughout the holiday period. The carpark is scheduled to remain closed throughout the first week of Term 2.
