From the Classroom

Class 2B Newsletter
Class 2B has been privileged to welcome Corey Threlfall as a practicum student teacher while he continues his studies in education. Corey has been planning and teaching engaging lessons across English, Mathematics, Science, HASS, and Digital Technologies. The students have thoroughly enjoyed learning with him and participating in a range of hands-on and interactive activities.
In English, students have been exploring the text features of informative and imaginative texts. They have also been developing their skills in answering both literal and inferential comprehension questions, encouraging deeper thinking and understanding while reading and writing. The students are also embracing learning how to create information reports on various animals.
During Mathematics lessons, students have been engaging in real-life maths problems and learning practical skills such as reading the time on an analogue clock and interpreting calendars. They have also been refining their ability to recite, recall, and apply number facts to support their problem-solving in larger mathematical tasks.
In HASS, students have been learning about the differences between personal, local, regional, and national areas, helping them build their understanding of places and communities.
Science lessons have focused on celestial objects, with students exploring fascinating concepts about space and the world beyond Earth.
In Digital Technologies, students have been developing their coding skills through fun and interactive activities that encourage problem-solving and creativity.
Class 2B has greatly benefited from Corey’s enthusiasm, dedication, and creativity in the classroom, and we thank him for the positive contribution he has made to our learning community.
