PRINCIPAL UPDATE

Well done to students who competed in the District Cross Country a couple of weeks ago. It was windy and blustery conditions, however they did well to push through the head wind they were fighting against.
Congratulations to Molly R, Millie C, Charlotte K-H, Connor M, Will W, Ali I, Zara T, Hunter V, Sam M, Gracie C, Zara O, Eliza B, Max G & Zach R who have made it through to the Regionals and are running today. We look forward to hearing from these students tomorrow.
Thank you to parents that attended the Parent Teacher Interviews last week engaging in conversations about your child/ren’s progress so far this year. It was great to see most parents book times with teaching staff and we thank the staff for giving up their evening to hold these meetings with parents.
This week is Education Week, and we are celebrating this by holding an ‘open morning’ on Friday from 9:15am until 10:45am.
There will be a small number of specialist class taking place; however, majority of students will be in their classroom undertaking Literacy. Please join you child/ren for a short time on this day and see the learning taking place within these spaces, celebrating Education Week 2026.
In addition to this, it is Walk to School Day on the same day, and we encourage families to walk to school, or park the car a little distance from the school and walk together for part of the way. Upon arriving at school students will receive a sticker and piece of fruit from our Junior School Council. Thanks to Junior School Council for organising this event.
Last week we celebrated Educational Support Staff Day by hosting a morning tea and giving a little treat to acknowledge the work they do across the school.
Tyler, Lachie, Jen, Abbey, Sue, Sarah, Eloise, Amanda, Casey, Paige, Tayla all support within classrooms, Amy and Jo, part of our Allied Health team and work with individuals and small groups, along with Jacquie and Amber who keep the whole school under control and in order from the Office. We would be lost without this wonderful team and can’t thank them enough for all that they do.
Kind regards,
Meg
