Youth Officer Police Visit

On Wednesday, 17 September, Youth Officer Senior Constable Helen Pham visited St Johns Park Public School to engage with our Year 4, 5, and 6 students. Senior Constable Pham delivered important messages about online safety, bullying and road safety. She reminded students to keep all personal information private online, to interact only with people they know, and to always be respectful in their online communications. Senior Constable Pham also explained that students should avoid using applications such as Snapchat, Discord, and Instagram, as these platforms require users to be at least 13 years old—a minimum age that is soon changing to 16 years under new laws.

In addition, she highlighted the dangers associated with riding e-bikes and e-scooters, noting that most of these devices are currently illegal to ride. She cautioned that riding them can result in significant fines for parents.

We sincerely thank Senior Constable Pham for her valuable time and important messages.
