Year 3 Science Excursion

On Thursday, 18th September, 2025 our Year 3 students attended an excursion at Plough and Harrow Park with Ranger Jaime Tours as part of their science learning.

On this excursion the students engaged with fun demonstrations and participated in interactive experiments showcasing the power of heat. Our students went on a journey to explore the three possible states of solids, liquids and gases in a series of experiments.

Students were challenged to plan and conduct their own scientific investigations using special materials, tools and equipment, and communicated their findings to their peers at the end of the day.

Students enjoyed the different properties of solids, liquids, gases, plasma and non-Newtonian fluids and discovered what happens when combining and separating certain mixtures.

It was a fantastic day for all!
