Student Leadership at Truganina College

School for Student Leadership and Acting College Captain
Four Truganina College Year 9 students are departing this weekend for the School for Student Leadership (SSL) in the beautiful Yarra Valley. Prabhnoor, Ermias, Katelyn and Tabisha will live at the leadership school for the remainder of term 2, building their leadership and personal development skills through a community project. As they depart, we wish them all the best for a successful term! We can't wait to see their growth and their project when they return in term 3!
As Tabisha is one of our College Captains, the Student Voice, Agency and Leadership team have completed a selection process for an Acting College Captain, who will serve until the SSL students return in term 3.
This selection process was open to all year 7-9 students and has been highly competitive. The team would like to commend all applicants. It has been a difficult decision for the selection panel.
Our successful candidate will be announced on Friday afternoon, so keep an eye on Compass or an ear out for the announcement if you are on school grounds!

Student Voice Leaders
The students Voice Leaders have been working collaboratively on new communication strategies for Student Voice at Truganina P9 College.
The feedback from our students was to improve the visibility of the Student Voice, Agency and Leadership portfolio.
Our Student Voice Leaders brainstormed ideas on what they will be sharing with our broader community around the work that is happening at the College.
Students will set out to seek student feedback both inside and outside the classroom.
As a portfolio, we are so excited to watch this space grow and to bring our community along for the ride!
Every student deserves to have their voice heard and this is what are Student Voice Leaders will promote!
