Senior Netball
On Monday 19 May, the senior netball teams represented our school at the interschool tournament, playing five fast-paced and competitive games throughout the day.
Both our A and B teams demonstrated strong teamwork, integrity, good conduct, and determination on court. From the first whistle, each game tested our skills and fitness, but our players rose to the challenge with energy and focus.
The A team had several close matches, showing impressive defensive work and tight passing combinations in the midcourt. Their efforts throughout the day were commendable, with every player contributing to a strong overall performance. Each game was a learning opportunity, and the growth in confidence and cohesion was clear to see by the end of the tournament.
A special congratulations goes to the B team, who made it through to regionals after an outstanding day of netball. Their consistent communication, sharp shooting, and well-timed intercepts helped them secure several solid wins during the round-robin games.
The final match was especially intense, with the team holding their nerve under pressure to finish on top. Their hard work in training and commitment on the day paid off, and we’re excited to see how they go at the next level of competition.
A big thank you to Mr Sacco and Ms Villiers who helped make the day such a success. It was a great opportunity to represent the school, have fun and build team spirit. All players should be proud of their efforts.

Senior Girls Tennis: State Final Representation
On Monday 19 May, our senior girl's tennis team headed off to the Glen Waverley Sports Hub to compete in the State Championship.
Throughout the day, we had some really fun matches. There were a few great wins, some incredibly close games, and everyone gave it their all. Whether we were on the court or supporting from the sidelines, the team spirit was strong. It was clear how much effort had gone into preparing for the day, and it paid off with some impressive rallies and great teamwork. Every player showed skill, focus, and a great attitude, and it was amazing to see how we all encouraged each other, especially during the tougher moments.
One of the funniest and most memorable parts of the day came after our matches, when we sat down together and started counting our notes to see if we had enough money to buy a state tennis hoodie. It turned into a bit of a group mission, with everyone chipping in and joking around. It was one of those small moments that really showed how close we’d become as a team.
Even though we didn’t come home with the championship, we came away with new memories, stronger friendships, and the pride of knowing we competed at a high level. It was a day full of great tennis, laughter, and team spirit, and one we won’t forget anytime soon.

Intermediate and Senior Netball
On Tuesday 27 May, The Nossal Intermediate and Senior netball Teams went to Casey Stadium to play. Both teams played well, with the Seniors securing 2/3 wins and the Intermediates securing 3/4 wins under tough competition. Even though we missed out on a regionals spot, everyone had fun.
I would recommend anyone to try-out netball next year regardless of your skill level.
Go Nossal!!!!!
