Learning expo
Our upcoming Learning Expo is set to be a vibrant celebration of curiosity, creativity and discovery across all year levels. From our Prep students showcasing their thriving garden and love of nature, to our Year 1/2 young scientists exploring weather and space, each learning community has been busy investigating the world around them.
Year 3/4 students will bring science to life through hands on experiments exploring matter, energy and forces, while our Year 5/6 learners take us on an exciting journey through energy, circuits and the wonders of the cosmos. We look forward to welcoming families to experience the incredible learning happening across our school. Read below for more information about each community's presentation.
Year Prep
Step into our Prep garden and discover a world of amazing animals, beautiful flowers, and growing plants! Explore what we've been learning, see our garden in action, and get inspired by nature. You might even be lucky enough to take home a special plant to grow and care for yourself! We can't wait to share our learning and excitement with you!
Year 1 and 2 - Science is Everywhere!
Our Year 1/2 students are excited to invite families to their Weather and Space Expo! Over the past term, the Year 1/2 Young Scientists have been investigating the weather and our solar system through experiments, an excursion and classroom lessons. Students are proud and ready to showcase their knowledge and work.
Year 3 and 4 - Fizz, Freeze, Force & Fun!
The Year 3/4 community warmly invites you to step into a world of discovery, experimentation and excitement at our Science Sparks Lab! Our young investigators have been working like true scientists, donning their scientist caps as they explored, tested and uncovered how matter interacts around us. Come and unlock the secrets of matter, energy and forces as students proudly share their learnings across three investigation zones:
Changing Matter – where solids, liquids and gases are explored through exciting transformations
Temperature Discovery Hub – investigating heat transfer and cooling in action
Force Field Lab – discovering the invisible powers of magnets and forces at work.
You will have the opportunity to engage with some experiments, hear from our student scientists, and see the learning behind each investigation come to life. Don’t miss this showcase of curiosity, creativity and scientific thinking. We look forward to welcoming you to our Science Expo.
Year 5 and 6 - Spark, Shine and Soar
Prepare for launch as our Year 5/6 Scientists and Space Explorers take you on an exciting journey through The Science of Energy: From Circuits to the Cosmos. From glowing circuits and buzzing creations, to the wonders of planets, stars and galaxies, our investigations have uncovered the forces that power our world and shape our universe. Whether you're fascinated by electrical energy, amazed by the Solar System, or curious about the forces that keep planets in motion, there's something for every explorer. So buckle up, switch on your thinking, and get ready for an out-of-this-world adventure!
