Student Engagement at Corpus Christi 2026
Social Skills Group
As part of our commitment to student wellbeing, a small group of students have been participating in a Social Skills Group over the past four weeks. Through a range of activities and discussions, students have been developing skills to build positive relationships, communicate effectively, and navigate social situations both in the classroom and on the playground.
Throughout the program, students have explored what it means to be a good friend through stories, discussions, and hands-on activities. Together, they identified and reflected on qualities such as kindness, sharing, patience, fairness, helping others, listening, taking turns, and including others in play.
Students have also had opportunities to recognise positive friendship behaviours in themselves and their peers, practise giving compliments, and reflect on ways they can continue to strengthen their social skills. More recently, the group explored the concept of “bucket filling,” discussing how acts of kindness, encouragement, and support can positively impact others and contribute to a caring and inclusive school community.
It has been wonderful to see students actively engage in discussions, share their experiences, and develop a deeper understanding of friendship, communication, and conflict resolution. We look forward to continuing to build these important skills in future sessions.

Positive Behaviour for Learning
The weekly PBL rule is drawn from our Behaviour Matrix. Each week our children focus on a whole school rule that meets our five school expectations.
This week’s PBL focus is:
We are LEARNERS (online)
We are learning to use technology for school work and stay on task.
