2027 Foundation Enrolments 

Enrolment applications for Foundation 2027 students are now open.  Any families wishing to enrol their child for 2027 school year are asked to submit an application as soon as possible. Enrolment applications are due by Friday, 31st July.

Should any current RWPS families know of families with 2027 Foundation students who are interested in enrolling in RWPS please pass on this information. 

We are currently running school tours on most Monday's & some Wednesday mornings at 9:15am during the school term.  Please contact the school office (ph:9429-2950 or email richmond.west.ps@education.vic.gov.au) to book in.

Library News

With the end of the financial year close by, I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone that has donated, or is about to, to our school’s Library Fund. 100% of our book and library supply purchases come through funds donated by you! All your donations, big and small, make a difference and are much appreciated. And all donations to the Library Fund are tax deductible.

In 2025, 387 new books came into the library, including replacing many of the 109 books that were lost last year.

In 2026, 142 new books have already come into the library, with more books ready to be covered and catalogued and a big book order coming early in term 3. 

Many of these new books are from ideas suggested by the students. Mid last year I put a suggestion box out & within a week we had over 80 suggestions for books kids wanted to see in the library: novels, fiction series’, graphic novels and non-fiction topics like space, cars, puppies, cooking and WWII fiction & diaries. So far, these ideas have put 93 new books into the library over the last 12 months, with more to come. I’ve nearly worked my way through all the suggestions!

We have also got the ball rolling on some design changes in the library. Plans are afoot for a library repaint and new shelves & sitting areas. All with money (and time) donated by school families, to make our library space even better for kids to come read and learn in.

A big thank you to you all in the school community that are able and willing to donate to the library through our school’s Library Fund. It is much appreciated!
