Book Week Parade

It was wonderful to see so many students embracing Book Week and celebrating their love of literature by dressing up as a favourite book character.

Mathematics

Automatic recall of times tables is essential for students as they move on to more advanced mathematical concepts.  To encourage students to memorise their tables, we have introduced Times Tables Licences in the senior school, building on the strong foundation established in the middle school last year.

To earn their Level Five licence, students must demonstrate mastery of the times tables from two to twelve.  Once achieved, they progress to the Level Six licence, which requires quick and accurate recall of the corresponding division facts.

Licences will be presented to successful students each week at assembly.  Once a student has their licence they are eligible to participate in our Friday afternoon sudden knockout challenge.  Great prizes are on offer for the last student standing!

Parents, your support can make a big difference in helping your child earn their licences.  You can assist by helping them choose a times tables set to focus on and regularly testing their recall at home.
